- Conventional templates. 43 templates were offered for a mid-level profile, filterable by headshot, graphics and columns; the recommended ones are single-column with standard headings and parse well, and there are fewer decorative options than Canva or Enhancv, which is a feature for online applications.
- PDF and Word export. Both formats on paid plans, unlimited.
- Bundled tools. ATS check, cover letter builder, summary and skills generators in the same subscription.
Where it falls short
- No free download, despite the headline. The homepage is titled "AI Resume Builder (Fast, Easy, & Free to Use)" and the builder is free up to the download; the file is not. Read the pricing step before you invest an hour in the wizard.
- Auto-renewing trial. The 14-day price is the hook; the four-weekly charge is the product. Reviews on consumer sites are dominated by people who did not cancel in time.
- Generic phrase library. The suggested bullets have no numbers; a resume built only from them reads like every other Resume Now resume. Replace each suggestion with your own verb and metric.
- Limited tailoring. Keyword matching against a specific posting is basic compared with tools built around it.
Do Resume Now templates pass ATS?
The mainstream templates are single-column with standard headings, which is the format parsers are built for, and the download is a real text-based PDF. Two things to check in any exported file: that your contact details are in the body rather than a header band (some designs place them at the very top edge), and that the skills section is text rather than rating graphics.
